The 4Cs

At Shù Jewellery, every natural diamond and coloured gemstone is carefully selected with close attention to the 4Cs - cut, colour, clarity and carat weight.

Our gemologist approach is shaped through professional training with IGI (International Gemological Institute), one of the world's leading diamond certification institutes, ensuring each gemstone is selected with careful attention to its cut, character, and natural brilliance.

Cut

Cut determines how a diamond reflects light, brilliance, and movement. A well-cut diamond allows light to travel naturally through the stone, creating depth, movement, and brilliance.

We carefully select diamonds with balanced proportions and refined brilliance, choosing stones that feel refined, effortless, and enduring over time.

Colour

Diamond colour is graded from D to Z, with subtle differences in tone and warmth. While colourless diamonds are considered the rarest, every stone carries a distinct presence shaped by light, depth, and naunce.

Every gemstone is selected with close attention to harmony, softness, and how the stone complements the overall design of the piece.

Clarity

Clarity refers to the natural inclusions formed within a diamond over millions of years beneath the earth. These subtle internal characteristics are part of what makes every natural stone unique.

We value diamonds that feel refined, balanced, and naturally luminous - chosen not only for technical grading, but for the overall harmony they bring to a piece.

Carat

Carat refers to a diamond's weight, measured in metric carats. While larger carat weight are often associated with rarity, size alone does not determine a diamond's beauty or value.

We believe balance is essential. Each gemstone is chosen with careful consideration of proportion, light, and how it lives within the overall design, allowing the stone and setting to exist in harmony.
